Poet
English has always been my favorite subject. Toward the end of my high school career began to lean in to that gift. My poetry and performance have now won awards and been published in several locations. I began a writing club at my high school in 2018 and we performed for a youth organization, Girls INC. To this day, that is one of my proudest accomplishments.
Take a look through my journey with poetry!
Hardaway High School Poetry Club
May 2019
I write poetry because of the impact it has on communities and lives. My writing centers around significant happenings in society. It's a blessing to have been given a gift that can educate and inspire not only my peers, but my elders and the youth of today's world as well.
Poetry is able to reach people in a unique way and I adore that about the art form.

"A mistake is not just another skeleton that you can pack into your closet and grind into finely sifted lies.
You wear your mistakes like an open bloodied battle wound, showcasing something that could’ve healed if you hadn’t let it fester."
